Debian 11 Nextcloud Desktop Client Sync Error

kleprado 1 year ago updated by Vlad R 1 year ago 5

Hi, I cannot manage to get a desktop sync client working, but Android client works fine :

My nextcloud desktop client (Debian) show me the following error where I force the sync :

"Une erreur de transmission s'est produite. Données manquantes dans la réponse à la découverte du fichier sur le serveur"

In english...

"An error occured. Missing data in the discovery file on the server"

The Nextcloud client of Gnome indicate the following error :

"Erreur de connexion au serveur nextcloud. Code 207: Reponse inattendue du serveur"

In english...

"Connection error to the nextcloud server. Code 207: unexpected server response"

The error a encounter is exactly the same on MY server and on the demo.fileserver.com

I get nothing in my logs.

Under review

App version in use and OS please :D

My nextcloud client : Nextcloud version 3.1.1-2+deb11u1 (OS : Debian 11.2), <=> last updates

My Filerun server is at the last update : 20220113

Do you know a good webdav client which is more verbose and could help me ?

That desktop client version is outdated. I do not test old client versions with the newer FileRun versions. 3.2, 3 and 3.4 are the only officially supported versions at the moment.

Apparently they updated but only for next Debian version: https://packages.debian.org/bookworm/nextcloud-desktop

Sorry, I am a Windows person :)

Thanks to you, problem is solved :

No debian backport package is available for bullseye, so I directly downloaded the.deb needed from the unstable debian version (bookworm) :

nextcloud-desktop_3.3.5-1_amd64.deb libnextcloudsync0_3.3.5-1_amd64.deb libqt5websockets5_5.15.2-2_amd64.deb

and installed them

sudo dpkg -i nextcloud-desktop_3.3.5-1_amd64.deb libnextcloudsync0_3.3.5-1_amd64.deb libqt5websockets5_5.15.2-2_amd64.deb

restarting the app nextcloud-desktop, now it works.
