
NextCloud - no sync of large files
Hello,
sometimes nextcloud is giving me this error: The server didn't confirmed the last block. The E-Tag was unavailable.
(Translated from german, the german error is: "Der Server hat den letzten Block nicht bestätigt. (Der E-Tag war nicht vorhanden)").
I am using the latest version of FileRun under Ubuntu 16.04 with PHP7.
I notice that NextCloud is giving this error only on files which are larger than 10MB.
I already tried to increase upload_max_filesize and post_max_size to 10000M in the file /etc/php/7.0/apache2/conf.d/filerun.ini and restarted apache after that, but that didn't helped.

It is a known issue with the current FileRun version. We're working on releasing a software update real soon. The new version will have much improved compatibility with the Nextcloud apps. Thank you nevertheless for reporting it!

I've tried everything, FileRun is working wonderfully except for uploading files bigger than 10mb trough the nextcloud desktop client...

I'm going to answer my own question (being Anonymous before). GoodSync is more powerful and flexible (allowing for example one way backup) than nextcloud for synching FileRun. Problem solved! Also loving how the FileManager+ and Cirrus android apps work with FileRun (or most webdav clients for that matter).

any update to the update, i have recently updated my software but now my business is being affected as large files cannot be uploaded, any progress update would be appreciated

Was this issue ever fixed? I just stepped into that problem. All my raw images as well as video files are not getting synced via the nextcloud client. It works well via rclone. I am using the docker setup of fileync (Version 2021.03.26).
If the nextcloud client does not fully work is there another recommended client?

Is anyone still having this issue? I did a fresh install of 2021.12.07 via docker compose and I'm getting "connection closed" when trying to upload ~50 old home videos ranging from tens of MB to several hundred MB.
