OnlyOffice Plugin Save File Warning when Opening Documents

hostmaster 1 year ago • updated by Vlad R 12 months ago 9

I've seen a few topics now here with OnlyOffice settings in question, but I have it working with this one minor annoyance that I can't get rid of.

OnlyOffice is setup and working on my server, and I can view the files in the MSOffice Web viewer without issue so there is nothing wrong with the file.

I setup OnlyOffice to be the default viewer for Word files in the admin from Web viewer, and it loads promptly but immediately displays a Warning popup:

The thing is, I can SEE the word file loaded behind this warning. If I click okay, then "Close Menu" I can get back to said word file. Everything works from this point. Consulting OnlyOffice TS&R guide here, 3rd item down, it describes a few issues that generate this error message.

I'll be frank, I'm not a programmer. I couldn't program my way out of a paperbag in a snowstorm in Barrow. So I don't understand what it's specifically asking for. Doing the due diligence with F12 in FireFox, I don't see any issues with the load in console:

No blatant smoking guns. X-Frame-Options is properly overridden by CSP (when I initially set this up I did not have CSP headers and so I just got a blank screen with an error for XFO, that at least was an easy fix).

Try replacing "customizables/plugins/onlyoffice/app.php" with this file

PS. This patch applies only to FileRun version 2018.02.13

It's back to giving me a blank screen. There is an error in console with this file though:

It would help to check the PHP configured "error_log" file for any possible log entry that might relate to the attempt of editing the file with ONLYOFFICE.

The PHP log isn't helpful I don't think. There is an error occurring but I'm not sure it's related to this. It started at the beginning of the month but I can't figure out what it means. The OnlyOffice configuration only started last week. I'm guessing the errors below are related to some security update with PHP that's being knocked against HAProxy somehow but it hasn't actually caused any issues yet. I'll include it below for completeness.

The access log has more hits, not sure if helpful either though as it doesn't appear to be anything abnormal (code200s)

Well, I needed to do a general OS update and after the reboot everything is working fine with the file you provided in an earlier post. Been a while since I've done a full reboot on the webhost vm and it's more something I consider for Windows that *nix usually. The original file still has the issue where I have to cancel out to get into it.

Thanks for letting us know. In the meantime we also found a particular case when this happens, when the edited file is a file shared by another user without the "Make changes" permission. I write this in case somebody else is hitting this particular behavior before we release the next update.
