ugan 5 years ago updated by Vlad R 5 years ago 3

I've got a new install. I followed the guide at http://blog.filerun.com/how-to-install-filerun-on-ubuntu-16/ and he install worked without an error.
When I log in as superuser or even the user i made I cannot create new folders or upload any files.

Im not sure how to fix it? Any ideas?

You should start by setting a home folder for the user (edit the user account and set a full folder path under the permissions tab). You can't upload files or create folders if a location isn't specified.

Thanks for the info. I have the FileRun installed in a path so I access it like this in the web browser: http://localhost/filerun
Do I create a folder in the filerun folder for this? Do I specify a relative path or an absolute path?

Ideally the FileRun user's home folders should be outside the public area of your webserver, so outside folders such as "www", "inetpub" or "public_html".

It should be an absolute path of a folder on your server's filesystem. You can even create it from where you set it inside FileRun.
