prevent opening pdf file
The option to prevent opening the file (a .pdf) does not work in Chrome. And when it opens, it can be downloaded as well.
This way users do not see the download terms.
Don't know if this is a bug or just something with chrome, maybe the download terms can be moved to a screen before opening the document, like the password screen.

Which exact option are you referring to, as there is no option in FileRun entitled "prevent opening the file".
see attached screenshot, it appears under advanced when creating a share link
If you hold your mouse cursor over the option you will get additional information about its purpose. It's purpose is not to disable visitors' ability of downloading the file, but only to trigger a download prompt in the browser.
Now I see a problem. Adding downloading terms while the option is checked, still has the file being opened for preview. Keeping this thread open as that is indeed something that would need fixing.
If a web link has download terms set and the option "Prevent the browser from opening the file." is enabled, the file will no longer be loaded in the browser, but an icon will be shown instead. This change will be included with the next FileRun update. Thank you for pointing it out.
Thank you for the quick fix!
