Shared File Available notification template didn't exist

Johnny 2 weeks ago 0

My users were complaining that when they share a file with another user, the email said it was shared by the user it was shared to. As opposed to it being shared by the user it was actually shared by.

Example: "John Sender" shares a file with "Jane Receiver", Jane Receiver then received an email that said:

    Hi Jane Receiver,

    2019-03-06 17:32:10 (just now)

User "Jane Receiver" has performed the following action: "shared_file_available".

    Best regards,

What I ended up finding here is that this email is actualy for an action without a template.

Sure enough, my server did not have the file `customizables/emails/shared_file_available.tpl.txt`

To fix the issue I just copied the shared_folder_available.tpl.txt to shared_file_available.tpl.txt and modified the $2 variable to grab the path. The email now shows:

    Hi Jane Receiver,

    2019-03-06 17:32:10 (just now)

User "John Sender" has shared the file "HOME/TestFile.txt" with you.

    Best regards,

TL;DR

I'm not sure if this is a bug or something unique that happened on my instance, but I've never modified these file so I don't think I would have removed it. It's running 2018.11.11 and was originally installed with 2017.03.18. It seems like shared_file_available.tpl.txt may not have been copied on upgrade.
