NextCloud iOS connecting to FileRun error (Read File WebDAV : [items NULL] please fix)

phudtapon_earth 3 months ago • updated by Jules G 2 months ago 10

When I use NextCloud app on iOS to connecting to FileRun it show error Read File WebDAV : [items NULL] please fix

but I have enable API in control panel and enable WebDav in PHP configuration

For about my server. I using

PHP 7.2.16

FileRun version 2019.05.21

Windows Server 2016

The iOS Nextcloud Android app is not compatible with FileRun

Can you please suggest an iOS client that does work with FileRun?

I'm getting this same error using the Nextcloud app on iOS, but the Nextcloud app on Android works fine.

Thanks for the suggestions!

  • ownCloud (1.0.1 build 124 (5f1b511)) on iOS 12.3.1 doesn't work: "Error; Server software Nextcloud 16.0.0.9 not supported."
  • WebDAV Nav does work! But it's pretty bare-bones regarding images (e.g., it doesn't seem to display images rotated per EXIF data, I can't configure it to auto-upload new images taken on phone's camera, it doesn't cache images (every time I view an image it has to re-download). But at least it works.
  • FE File Explorer: free version doesn't let me add ownCloud or WebDAV servers - I'll have to try the paid version
  • I'll look for other WebDAV apps, but I suspect that an app that talks to WebDAV servers will not be likely to have auto-upload-new-pics-from-camera features.

Thanks again

The free version works fine for me for adding WebDAV.

I'll look for other WebDAV apps, but I suspect that an app that talks to WebDAV servers will not be likely to have auto-upload-new-pics-from-camera features.

Search for "sync photos webdav", there are plenty of options (even though most require a couple of bucks - but that's the Apple ecosystem).

  • Of, and WebDAV Nav (and presumably all WebDAV apps) also can't see any Collections (photo albums) from FileRun. Again, not a deal-breaker, but certainly not as nice as a better-integrated app.

I think the issues with FE File Explorer is that it will only make one server connection in the free version, and I am already using it for a server connection. In order to add another (WedDAV, in this case, or possibly ownCLoud), I'll need the free version. I'll look into this.

Good thinking: I'll look into WebDAV apps with "sync" options - good to know some exist!
