CR2 images not rendering thumbnail preview

support 12 months ago updated 11 months ago 4

I’ve installed filerun successfully and everything looks good, except that my .CR2 files are not rendering a thumbnail preview.

All the other formats that I have are working as expected, including psd, tiff, etc, but when it comes to CR2, the files are showing just an icon

Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance!

Install dcraw on the server. It will fix the problem.

Under review

Please enable the "Admin: Thumbnail troubleshooter" plugin from the FileRun control panel, clear your browser's cache and reload FileRun, then right-click a file that is missing a thumbnail and choose "Open with" → "Admin: Thumbnail troubleshooter". You will get to see what happens behind the scene and where the problem might be.

This is the output

Thumbnail debugging is on (1563820509)

Processing: /volume1/Archive/IMG_6782.CR2

As: cr2

File size: 27027041

Removing expired lock: /volume1/Archive/.filerun.thumbnails/IMG_6782.CR2/27027041/400_400_contain[1].png.lock

Creating lock: /volume1/Archive/.filerun.thumbnails/IMG_6782.CR2/27027041/400_400_contain[1].png.lock

Resizing using ImageMagick

Running: /usr/bin/convert -size '400x400' "/volume1/Archive/IMG_6782.CR2" -verbose -auto-orient -thumbnail '400x400>' -strip -quality 95 "/volume1/Archive/.filerun.thumbnails/IMG_6782.CR2/27027041/400_400_contain[1].png" 2>&1

Results:

* returned code: 1

* returned text: Array ( [0] => convert: UnableToOpenConfigureFile `delegates.xml' @ warning/configure.c/GetConfigureOptions/677. [1] => convert: DelegateFailed `'ufraw-batch' --silent --create-id=also --out-type=png --out-depth=16 '--output=%u.png' '%i'' @ error/delegate.c/InvokeDelegate/1932. [2] => convert: UnableToOpenBlob `/tmp/magick-17784akPj3qyhdzJH.ppm': No such file or directory @ error/blob.c/OpenBlob/2867. [3] => convert: NoImagesDefined `/volume1/Archive/.filerun.thumbnails/IMG_6782.CR2/27027041/400_400_contain[1].png' @ error/convert.c/ConvertImageCommand/3258. ) Resize failed.

Displaying image.png icon instead.

Where do I go from here? apparently the 'delegates.xml' file doesn't exist? Which is true, but also it says the Resize failed at the very end. not sure what this means.

+1

After my last post, I created manually a delegates.xml file and this completely broke my filerun installation. The server started acting super slow and no one could do anything on the server.

I've been trying to fix this for a while now and I'm at a point where most of the files render the way they should, but the PSD and CR2 files are causing issues. The PSD files take forever to render, and the CR2 are still doing the same. Also, I haven't been able to find a guide on how to install dcraw. Can anyone send me the link on where to download and how to install dcraw on a Synology device?
