Hi,,

If you want to work on multiple documents without having to close, it would be nice to be able to open (for office and images for example), in a new window or having tabs.

We have added a separate menu option for browsing folders in new tabs.

"Open with.." options can be opened in new tabs while holding the CTRL (or equivalent) key.

You can also choose from the control panel for each plugin if it opens in a new browser tab or not.

The changes will be available with the next update.

Under review

We could make it so that when holding the SHIFT key while pressing the option would make the document open in a new browser tab? Like it works with regular links.

Yes I think it's a good idea like this. But if it is possible to be able to parameterize the behavior.
Indeed, one could decide that according to the plugins one forces a behavior.
For example mediainfo is open in overlay,
But OnlyOffice always opens in a new tab.
(We know that users never read manuals).

For the SHIFT key, it may be necessary to consider the type of browser, for example on Mac with Safari, it is the command key.

Thanks.

So a checkbox which you can select when configuring the plugin, which will make the particular plugin always open in a new browser tab instead of the overlay?

Yes, it's good idea.

Maybe you can keep your idea of the SHIFT key to open a directory in a new page when you click on it. As you added that FileRun displays the path in the browser URL, this should be fairly easy to do.
