Clean Thumbs

manuelpeiro 6 months ago updated by Vlad R 5 months ago 5

I have moved thousands of files (images) from dozens of folders using WinSCP, and they have been orphaned thumbnails. I have tried make_thumbs, but it doesn't clean the thumbnails from non-existent images in the current folder.

What should I do to do a complete reload of files? Should I do something with the DB?

Thanks.

Right-click the folder containing your files, select "More Options" -> "Control Panel".
There is from where you can clean the thumbnail and preview cache inside that folder.

Or as "cynical" said, you remove ".filerun.thumbnails" folders. You can do it recursively from the command line on most operating systems.

There's a hidden folder created ".filerun.thumbnails" in each directory that thumbnails are created. Removing that should remove all thumbnails, afaik.

Yes, I know, but, manually?

When you made the mistake of move files out of interface, what are the steps to set FileRun "OK", I mean, DB, index, thumbnails... What command-line tools and in what order.

Or I have to go to fresh install?

This option only appears in the admin user interface. Normal user doesn't have this option. Right?
