Question about compatibilities with newer nextcloud clients

ovidiu 3 months ago updated by Vlad R 3 months ago 3

Hi there,

I saw that you have links to the compatible clients, I was just wondering what changed with the newer nextcloud clients, did the underlying protocol change too much or why are we restricted to older clients?

Also, from the logs I can see when running it looks like you are using parts of [edited]? (saw this term in the logs: [edited]) The reason I am asking is because I am looking for a feature which [edited]offers: access files via a remote folder and not via a sync client. [edited] calls their solution a "[edited]" so I was wondering if there is a compatible option which can be used with filerun

i.e. I rarely need a to quickly access a couple of files so I don't really want to permanently sync them to my desktop hence this drive solution would be great. Yes I know I can use a webdav client too...

We add support for newer versions of the client apps as they get released.
We add the newer downloads on our website only after we've thoroughly tested them. This does not mean that FileRun might not work fine with the newer version.

FileRun uses no parts of other software.

OK, thanks for your reply, I wasn't aware I shouldn't mention other products, sorry about that and thanks for clarifying.

Still, any chance of a reply to this question:

can filerun be accesses like a drive? I am not sure how to best describe it, say kinda mount it with fuse or something?
