file tags only visible to user who created them

Hi, I've noticed while evaluating your software that the file tags only appear to the user that created them. Is there any way to view these globally across all the shared files/photos?

Many thanks,

The tags belong to files, not users. As long as one user can access a file, and that file has tags, the user can see the file's tags.

Hi Vlad R,

Thanks for your response. I've been doing some more testing on this and found that the tags actually just disappear when I input them, click on another image and then click back on the original (see below).

So as you've mentioned, it's not actually anything to do with users.

Can you help?

I can't see no such problem with our demo: https://filerun.com/demo

What browser are you using?

I tried adding a tag "extra" to "photo-16" but it didn't work. I'm using Safari Version 13.1.1 on macOS Catalina 10.15.5

I tried using Firefox and couldn't get the tags to stay there either.

Are you testing this with our demo, or not? I ask because I need to know if the problem is limited to your particular installation, or is it a general FileRun issue. If I can reproduce the problem with our demo, I can provide a solution.

You are also now talking about two different issues. One is that the UI fails to show the information, and the second is that you can't add tags to files?

Yes, I tried this in your demo and on my installation and got the same result. I can add the tags and they show up on the UI until I click on another image, then click back and they gone.

Using the latest Firefox version, with our demo, I cannot see any problem. If you can provide step-by-step, perhaps I get to reproduce it.

Hi Vlad, I got to the bottom of it. I was clicking the little edit icon, filling in my tags and then not clicking the little 'disk' save icon to save them. My fault, apologies and thanks for your patience.
