Chunked files

Nelo 2 months ago updated by Vlad R 1 week ago 8

Hi,

I have a lot of .filerun.nextcloud-chunked-upload style files.

It's a normal behavior or it should be cleared after finish the upload?

Thanks.

Those temporary folders should disappear at the end of completed file transfer. If they don't, I recommend you to check the server's logs, particularly the PHP error log.

In this moment, I've upload a file, and the log says:

And a .filerun.nexcloud-chunked-upload....... folder is there.

I notice that the time isn't correct. It matters?

Hi there

if those files stays after updload, could it be deleted?

gregor

hi vlad

could you please answer this question?

I have hunderds of this files in every folder. Filerun gets slower and slower every day...

gregor

Hi I have the same problem. I have deleted these files a few times in the past weeks. Afaik nothing bad has happened. If you want to be safe, upload a test photo then delete the chunked file with same time stamp and check whether you uploaded file is affected. Always make sure you have backup though and don't blame me if you lose everything :)

Sorry for the wait, I will check the problem of upload temporary files being left behind. The mentioned slowness cannot be attributed to FileRun though.

We confirm a bug in FileRun, which makes uploads via Nextcloud apps to leave temporary empty folders behind. This will get fixed by the update will are soon going to release.
