What is the XMP tag used for tags?
I am using XnView MP to edit my image metadata. Filerun can index IPTC keywords. However, it does not seems like it pick up metadata from XMP. As png only support XMP, I would like to know which XMP tag is filerun actually reading.
Customer support service by UserEcho
Keywords (dc:subject), Caption (photoshop:CaptionWriter), Copyright (dc:rights), Creator (dc:creator) and DateCreated (photoshop:DateCreated). If both IPTC and XMP values are available, XMP will have priority.
PNG, JPG, PSD and TIFF support XMP.
You could upload a sample file if you believe FileRun doesn't retrieve the data right, but it's more likely that there is something off with either the file or the server configuration, as FileRun works 100% based on the Metadata Working Group guideline, adopted by most systems.
Edit: added exact XMP tag names
Here is a test file.
I am using Docker with Software version 2018.11.11.
I have indexed the folder manually.
Here is what I see in XnView MP.
I also used https://www.get-metadata.com to confirm XMP exists.
Kindly attach it as a zip or provide a direct download link, because inserting it as a picture in a reply will have the file stripped of metadata.
test.zip
Neither Windows, nor Photoshop reads the metadata from your file. I suggest contacting tech support for the program you are using to write the metadata with, as this is not a FileRun-related issue.
My suggestion, use Exif instead of XMP anyway. There is considerably better support around for it.
I have just double checked with exiftool
It does contain the following XMP
I also used Photoshop to add the XMP test2.zip
But it still not show up in filerun.
